HUBIX INVESTMENT S.A. is a personal data controller within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC, and of Romanian Law no. 190/2018.

Applicable law
We process cookies lawfully and legitimately, without infringing the rights and freedoms of users, in compliance with personal data protection law, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and Romanian Law no. 190/2018, and with data security law: Directive 2002/58/EC concerning the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector (the e-Privacy Directive) and Romanian Law no. 506 of 17 November 2004 on the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector.
What a cookie is and what it does
A cookie is a small, non-executable file made up of numbers and letters. It is not a software program running on your device and contains no viruses or spyware. It cannot access or read information on the user’s hard drive.

By placing a cookie on a user’s device, information is stored that allows the website to recognise a particular browser. The server will recognise the browser for as long as the cookie is active (until it is deleted or expires).
In general, cookies are lawful and useful tools that a controller uses to:

This website does not place cookies for visitors: it uses no traffic analytics, marketing or advertising cookies, and the language you choose is kept in the page address, not in a cookie. This is why the website does not show a consent banner.
The cookies used by the website are placed only for authorised persons who sign in to the website’s administration area:
- payload-token: keeps the administrator’s sign-in session (strictly necessary); HTTP cookie, valid for 2 hours;
- payload-theme and payload-lng: remember the theme and language the administrator chooses in the administration area, only after they change them; valid for up to one year.

Third-party cookies

Security and confidentiality of processing
We keep data safe and have implemented a number of measures to secure processing.
The website is secured with HTTPS (the TLS protocol, the successor to SSL). The certificate secures the exchange of information by encrypting it so that it can only be decrypted by the server it is addressed to. This way, information cannot be altered or stolen in transit.
The controller has taken measures to limit processing, so that data is not stored for longer than necessary, and to prevent unauthorised access to data, within the meaning of recital (21) of the e-Privacy Directive.
Regarding the security of cookies, it is worth knowing that these text files are not viruses and cannot contain viruses. As they are not made of code, they cannot be executed or run automatically by the operating system and cannot duplicate or replicate themselves to other networks.
Cookies could, however, be used as a form of spyware, because they can store browsing history and preferences. Browsers usually have built-in settings offering different levels of cookie acceptance, limits on their validity, or even their automatic deletion.
Security recommendations for users
- only access the internet over secure Wi-Fi networks;
- install anti-spyware applications and keep them up to date;
- set your browser to the level of cookie acceptance you are comfortable with, or have cookies deleted as soon as you close your browsing session;
- update your browser regularly, so that attackers cannot exploit vulnerabilities in older versions;
- do not visit untrustworthy websites.
